About Preflight Pass

Preflight Pass is an independent study site for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot knowledge test. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FAA.

How the questions are written

• Every question is original, written from free FAA publications and the regulations in 14 CFR.
• Every answer has an explanation and links to the exact FAA rule or handbook page it is based on.
• We never copy questions from other sites, apps or the FAA's own sample questions, and none of our questions are real exam questions.
• Chart images are crops of current FAA VFR sectional charts, labeled with their edition date. They are not for navigation.

Review status

Our questions have not yet been reviewed by a certified remote pilot. Each one was checked against its FAA source when it was written, but mistakes are possible. If you spot a mistake, please use "Report an error" under the question. Fixes are listed in the changelog.
